Tips to dealing with post lockdown social anxiety!

Socializing is something that everyone is not able to cope up with after lockdown restrictions. It becomes even more difficult for the people that suffer from anxiety. If you are one such person taking counseling from a reputed service provider like Bayridge online counselling for anxiety can be a great idea. Certainly such kind of counseling can prove to be highly beneficial. However, to help you out here are some of the basic tips that can help you to get back to normal:

Plan events, meetings, and situations in advance

The very first thing you need to do is calm yourself into different surroundings and situations. When you feel anxious, think about ways that can make you less anxious. Prefer to go to the surrounding and places where you are comfortable and do not think what everyone prefers. It is always good to take enough time and consider what you would like instead of rushing.

Use grounding technique

It is one of the techniques that are usually suggested by the expert online counselling services Canada. This technique involves picking up the object from you’re surrounding and concentrating on it with continuous eye contact whenever you feel anxious. Think about the object and describe it till you are completely relaxed. The technique helps to calm you down.

Keep yourself informed

It is always good for you to stay well informed and updated with the latest news, as wrong information can result in anxiety. When you are aware of the right facts and statistics, you will have an idea of what is good for you and what isn’t. However, it does not mean that you continuously go on reading the news, as spending too much time on it can lead to anxiety. You can check out the new once or twice, but not more than that.

Concentrate on positive things

When you feel anxiety you will feel that there is everything bad around you. However, you are feeling this due to anxiety and it is not the reality. You can be safe by practicing the right measures like social distancing. Now, the lockdown is at ease, and you are allowed to see your loved ones and going to different places. You can concentrate on such positive things. According to the expert concentrating on positives will help you to stay away from anxiety.

Speak to the person you are comfortable with

Expert online counselling services Canada recommend sharing your concerns and worries with someone you are comfortable with. You can speak to your family member, or friend, or colleague. If you do not have anyone to share, consider taking online counselling services Canada and speak to the counselor.

If you think that you require enrolling for counselling services, one of the best options available these days is online counselling services Canada. How to Survive Being at Home (Dealing with the threat of COVID-19)

We are facing a situation this generation has never had to face: staying at home for long periods of time with family – terrifying.  At Christmas, as soon as the holiday is over the malls and theatres are jammed with people trying to find something to do besides be alone with each other.  Now, over the next month families are being forced to spend more time with each other at home than ever before since all outings are encouraged to be kept to a minimal.

This means we will be spending the next month in close quarters with the very people who have a gift for getting on each others’ nerves.  Hospitals might be filling up for reasons other than the virus: (child looking at brother) “I don’t think his leg should be bent that way… maybe I shouldn’t have pushed him down the stairs.”

Investing in Your Emotional Bank Account

Hollywood sure has a way of portraying love.  Romance is epic. The passion, the intrigue, the fantasy; and yet, here you are sitting with your partner talking about whose turn it is to take out the garbage.
Charming.
Your relationship is doomed to fail you conclude but I urge you to reconsider. Love doesn’t necessarily need to unfold in spectacular fashion right in front of your eyes. Instead, it is what happens behind the scenes that is not accounted for that makes the difference.
Couples who are able to turn towards each other even in the littlest of ways build an emotional savings account that can serve as a buffer against stress. Whether its comforting your partner after a long day at work or taking the time to offer praise for a task well done, accumulating wealth in your account helps sustain a positive view of your partner and your relationship even when times are trying.
